FAQs

Technically, we are in fact not a career consulting service in a traditional sense. Usually, career consulting services are done by professionals who either have a lot of experience in a specific industry or if for students, they are usually done by career services at schools.

Instead of giving advice, we provide a guided journal that helps you reflect on your career and life. We believe that you don't need answers, you need better questions that can unveil the answers that are already within you.

Careear is to a career consulting service as a journal is to a therapist. Journal is in no way a replacement for a therapist, but it can be a great tool to help you reflect on your life and help you understand yourself better.

We don't recommend replacing your career consulting service with Careear. That's why we have a plan for mentors who want to use Careear as a tool to manage their clients. However, if you are looking for a self-paced alternative, Careear can be a great tool for you.

We believe that AI can facilitate the process of self-reflection, but it can never replace the human touch. If you do not opt-out human-review (perhaps for privacy or confidentiality reasons) in the setting, your journal will be reviewed by a human mentor to ensure quality.

Keep in mind that sharing company secrets or any other confidential information is not recommended. While we do our best to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of your data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data when it is connected to a third-party service.

  1. You will be taking a survey to help us understand your current situation and your goals.
  2. Then, our AI will generate a recap of your survey, make deeper observations, and suggest questions for you to reflect on.
  3. If you opt-in for human-review, a mentor will review your journal and make sure that the quality is maintained.
  4. After you fill out the second form, recap & observation will be generated again, and the process will continue.

We have a plan for mentors who want to use Careear as a tool to manage their clients, students or even your own children. Mentor plan includes features like customer relationship management, customizable forms and AI assistant, and more.

Careear offers several modes to provide flexibility for mentors to use Careear to send forms to their mentees or they can fill it out themselves while talking 1-on-1 to their mentees.

Of course! If you are a parent, sometimes it can be hard to ask the right questions and understand your children's feelings and thoughts. Careear can be a great tool for you to communicate with your children, understand their aspirations and goals, while not being too intrusive.

It's usually recommended to be patient and supportive of your children's decisions, while also asking questions to help them reflect on their decisions. You can also track your children's progress and view their overall performance.
